plastic shell of joy
The first entry on a blog is always a bit ackward. Rather than kicking off with a welcome/introductory paragraph I'm diving in...
I ran across some old negatives I had placed in a generic three ring binder. Within the binder was a selection of images I shot a couple years ago during a close friends wedding. The photos were taking with my favorite camera... the famed ”Holga.“
This plastic shell of joy features a complicated single spring that when released makes an image on your film. It even sports several small openings to let light leak in and damage your film. So it's up to you to tape, velcro, and modify your camera to your taste.

The following week I happened to find myself in NYC and finished the roll. See the famed Flatiron Building.

After the film was developed it was a great transition to go from rural Rhea County to urban NYC. Quiet to loud + simple to complex and the Holga's style matched each location perfectly.

Glad to see you here. Was that daniel's wedding? I never did see how the pictures turned out, post more, I would like to see them. i really like that camera, now i just need to convince TJ to let me get it. I spent $300 on the last camera, so I think he would like the price of this one better. we need to get together as a family again. Maybe we can try to go to pocket again, or just hang out at Coolidge Park or something. tell Amber i said hi.
